Buckley's Hole Additions - August 2009

The booklet "Buckley's Hole - Birds of Buckley's Hole Conservation Park" was published in January 2004 and included a systematic list of 250 bird species recorded there during 1986-2003. Presented below is a list of additional species, identifying both newly submitted historical records and recent records, bringing the overall total to 273. All of these additional records have been accepted by the Buckley's Hole Rarities Committee. Note that there have also been additional records of several previously recorded and noteworthy species, but these are not included in this update.

The comments are intentionally brief as this is just a temporary update. Hopefully, a revised edition of the booklet will be published in 2011, covering the first twenty-five years of bird observations. There are still several species that must surely have occurred, but which have not yet been recorded.
