Note that there is a
Pumicestone electoral district, a Pumicestone region catchment, a Pumicestone
catchment and a Pumicestone subcatchment, not to mention the Pumicestone
Passage. All very confusing!
For the purposes of
this website, the Pumicestone Region is defined as
being the area contained within the boundaries of the original Caboolture Shire
and Caloundra City local government areas before their respective amalgamations
into Moreton Bay Regional Council and Sunshine Coast Regional Council.
